How to state Iqama / residency status

Goes in personal details at the top. Saudi recruiters screen on this within seconds — Premium Residency and Saudi nationality are major hiring advantages under Nitaqat.

Saudi National

List nationality plainly. Strongest screen-pass under Nitaqat — Saudi-national hires count toward employer quotas. State name as registered, National ID context where relevant.

Premium Residency (Saudi Green Card)

Self-sponsored, no Saudi sponsor needed, family inclusion, property ownership rights. State as "Saudi Premium Residency (Permanent / Limited 1-year)". Significant employer convenience signal.

Iqama with current sponsor

Most common expat status. Tied to employer. State as "Iqama (current sponsor: [Employer], transferable)" or "Iqama (current sponsor: [Employer], non-transferable until [date])". Notice period and transferability are key recruiter questions.

Visit Visa with work permit

For specific project work, conferences, short-term assignments. State plainly with duration and purpose.

Tamheer / SETC programme

Lead with photo, nationality, and Iqama status

Name Vision 2030 mega-projects by name

Include notice period and DataFlow / Mu'adala status
