Free Irish CV Templates
An Irish CV is two pages, no photo, no DOB, and lists Honours classification (1.1, 2.1, 2.2). It's always called a CV, never a resume — even at Google, Meta, and Stripe's Dublin EMEA HQs. Qarera's free Irish templates parse cleanly through Workday (HSE, AIB, FAANG Dublin), Greenhouse (Stripe, Intercom, Wayflyer), Lever, and SuccessFactors (Pfizer, J&J, Lilly). Critical Skills Permit aware. Edit online with AI bullet rewrites.

Irish CV templates by sector
Each template is a two-page Irish format. Pick by sector and career stage.
Irish Graduate CV
Best for: Trinity, UCD, UCC, NUI Galway, DCU graduates; gradireland users; Big 4 and EMEA HQ grad schemes
Structure: Contact → Personal Profile → Education (with Honours classification) → Work Experience / Internships → Skills → Activities & Interests → References
Honours classification (First, 2:1, 2:2) leads on Irish graduate CVs — Big 4 Dublin, IBD analyst schemes, and Civil Service grad streams all screen on 2:1 minimum. Name the institution in full.
Use templateDublin Tech / FAANG EMEA HQ
Best for: Software, data, ops, product roles at Google, Meta, Microsoft, Amazon, Stripe, Workday — all of which use Dublin as EMEA HQ
Structure: Contact → Personal Profile → Technical Skills → Work Experience → Side Projects → Education → Certifications
Dublin holds the EMEA HQ for most US tech giants. Workday (their own platform), Greenhouse (Stripe, Intercom), and Lever are dominant. Single-column, table-free, stack listed up front for keyword matching.
Use templatePharma / MedTech (Ireland)
Best for: Pfizer, Johnson & Johnson, Eli Lilly, MSD, Boston Scientific, Stryker, Medtronic, Roche
Structure: Contact → Profile → Work Experience (GMP, regulatory) → Education → Professional Memberships (PSI, EPS) → Training & Certifications → References
Ireland is a global pharma manufacturing hub. GMP, regulatory affairs (FDA, EMA), validation, and PSI (Pharmaceutical Society of Ireland) registration are the screening terms. Name the production site (Ringaskiddy, Grange Castle, Cork) where relevant.
Use templateFinancial Services (IFSC)
Best for: IFSC roles — banking, asset management, fintech, regulatory at Citi, Bank of Ireland, AIB, KBC, BlackRock Dublin, Stripe
Structure: Contact → Profile → Work Experience → Education (with Honours) → Professional Memberships (ACCA, ACA, CFA, QFA) → Certifications
IFSC roles screen on ACCA / ACA Ireland (CAI) / CFA / QFA / LCOI. Brexit pushed significant London asset management to Dublin — list FCA-equivalent CBI (Central Bank of Ireland) PCF / CF roles plainly.
Use templateHealthcare / HSE
Best for: HSE consultants, NCHDs, allied health, nursing — Beaumont, St James's, Mater, Tallaght, Cork University Hospital
Structure: Contact → Medical Council / NMBI Registration → Profile → Clinical Experience → Education & Training → Audits, Research, Teaching → References
Medical Council of Ireland number for doctors, NMBI (Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland) PIN for nurses — at the top, screened first. Specify NCHD level (Intern, SHO, Reg, SpR) and hospital network.
Use templateSenior / Executive (Ireland)
Best for: C-suite, board, MNC EMEA leadership, ISEQ-listed companies, IDA-supported FDI roles
Structure: Contact → Executive Summary → Career History → Board & Advisory → Education (with MBA institution) → Professional Memberships → Community
Two-to-three pages acceptable. ISEQ-listed (CRH, Kerry Group, Ryanair, Smurfit Kappa) or EMEA HQ (Google, Meta) scale called out. IoD Ireland, professional body memberships, and IDA / Enterprise Ireland networks weighted at this level.
Use templateIrish CV vs US resume: what's different

Open the Irish CV BuilderHow to state your work permit status
Goes at the top of the CV, right after contact details. Dublin recruiters screen on this within seconds.
Irish / EU / EEA citizen
List nationality plainly. Free movement — no permit needed. Most common screen-pass at Dublin employers.
Stamp 4 (settled status)
Granted after Critical Skills route, marriage to Irish/EU national, or long residence. Equivalent to PR. State as "Stamp 4 — no permit / sponsorship needed".
Critical Skills Employment Permit
For occupations on the Critical Skills Occupations List (CSOL) — most tech, engineering, finance roles. Two years initial, then Stamp 4 application. State as "Critical Skills Employment Permit (current)" or "Eligible for Critical Skills Employment Permit (M.Sc. + €38k+ salary)".
General Employment Permit
For roles not on CSOL, salary €34,000+ (2025). Labour market test required. State as "General Employment Permit (current sponsor: [Employer])" or "Requires General Employment Permit sponsorship".
Stamp 1G (post-study)
For graduates of Irish higher education — 24 months unrestricted, no sponsor needed. State as "Stamp 1G valid until [Month Year]".
Stamp 2 (Student)
During study: 20 hrs/week term-time, 40 hrs/week vacation. State course end date so recruiters can plan around it.
Writing tips for Irish CVs
List Honours classification on degrees
First (1.1), Upper Second (2.1), Lower Second (2.2). Big 4 Dublin, IBD, Civil Service HEO, and most Critical Skills employers screen on 2.1 minimum. Name the institution in full — Trinity College Dublin, University College Dublin, NUI Galway — not just "TCD" or "UCD".
Drop the photo and personal data
Employment Equality Acts 1998-2015 make age, gender, family status, religion protected during hiring. No photo, no DOB, no PPS, no marital status. Eircode and county are fine — most recruiters use Eircode for proximity screening.
Name Critical Skills eligibility explicitly
Most tech, engineering, finance, healthcare, and pharma roles in Ireland are on the Critical Skills Occupations List (CSOL). State plainly: "Critical Skills Employment Permit (current)" if you hold one, or "Eligible for Critical Skills Employment Permit (M.Sc. Computer Science + €38k+ offer)" if you're open to sponsorship. Dublin tech and pharma actively sponsor.
Use Hiberno-English and Irish-named institutions
"Organise, specialise, centre, colour, programme, defence, judgement, licence (noun) / license (verb)". Set Word to English (Ireland). Name Irish institutions and bodies in full (HSE, Revenue, CRO, CBI, IDA, Enterprise Ireland) — not their UK equivalents.
Name the Dublin office for FAANG / EMEA HQ employers
Google EMEA HQ (Barrow Street), Meta Dublin (Hanover Quay), Microsoft Ireland (Sandyford), Stripe (Grand Canal Dock), LinkedIn Dublin, Workday (Grand Canal Square). Irish recruiters at these orgs distinguish Dublin EMEA from US HQ — if your past experience was at the Dublin office, say so.
Quantify in EUR and use Irish context
ISEQ-listed (CRH, Kerry Group, Smurfit Kappa, Ryanair), Section 110 SPVs (financial services), IDA-supported FDI, Enterprise Ireland-backed scale-ups — these carry specific weight on Irish CVs. EUR for financial metrics. Reference IFSC, Sandyford, Cherrywood, or county headquarters where relevant.
