Free Singapore Resume Templates

A Singapore resume runs two pages, no full NRIC (PDPA), no photo, and declares work-pass status — Singaporean, PR, EP, S Pass, Tech.Pass, or ONE Pass — at the top. Qarera's free Singapore templates parse cleanly through Workday (DBS, OCBC, UOB, GLCs, MNC APAC HQs), Greenhouse (Sea, Grab, Shopee), Lever, and SuccessFactors (ST Engineering, Keppel). Fresh-grad to executive formats, NS status field included.

Singapore Fresh Graduate

Best for: NUS, NTU, SMU, SIT, SUSS graduates; polytechnic diploma holders; first-job applicants

Structure: Contact → Personal Statement → Education (CGPA / Honours) → Work Experience / Internships → Projects → Skills → Co-Curricular Activities → References

Best for: MAS, GIC, Temasek, EDB, MTI, MOH, MOE, statutory boards, scholarship-bonded officers

Structure: Contact → Personal Statement → Education (with bond / scholarship status) → Work Experience → Public Service Awards → Skills → References

How to state your work-pass status

Goes at the very top, under your contact block. Singapore employers screen on this within seconds due to COMPASS and the Fair Consideration Framework.

Singapore Citizen

List nationality plainly. Strongest screen-pass. Male applicants: include NS status ("ORD: 2018", "Reservist: SAF, Captain").

Singapore Permanent Resident (PR)

Treated almost equivalently to citizens. State as "Singapore PR — no sponsorship required". PR applies / converts faster from Tech.Pass and ONE Pass routes.

Employment Pass (EP)

For professional roles, COMPASS framework: minimum $5,600/month for most sectors, $6,200+ for financial services (2025). State as "Employment Pass (current sponsor: [Employer])" or "Requires Employment Pass sponsorship".

S Pass

Mid-skill, minimum $3,150/month. Quota and levy applies to employers. State plainly — many SMEs use this route.

Tech.Pass / ONE Pass

For experienced tech founders / leaders (Tech.Pass) or top earners across sectors ($30k/month+, ONE Pass). State as "Tech.Pass holder" or "Overseas Networks & Expertise (ONE) Pass" — fast-track to PR.

Dependant's Pass with LOC

Dependant's Pass holders need a Letter of Consent (LOC) to work. State as "Dependant's Pass + LOC eligible" — many employers screen for this specifically.

Writing tips for Singapore resumes

State work-pass status before anything else

Singapore employers screen on Singaporean / PR / EP / S Pass / Tech.Pass / ONE Pass before reading experience. MOM's COMPASS framework and the Fair Consideration Framework require local-first advertising on MyCareersFuture — hiding your status delays screening. State plainly under contact details.

Never include the full NRIC

PDPA (Personal Data Protection Act) restricts NRIC collection — employers shouldn't ask before offer. Don't include it on the resume. If you must show context (rare), use a masked partial. Full NRIC goes on the employment-pass / onboarding form after offer, not before.

List NS status for male Singaporeans / PRs

ORD year, vocation, current rank — "NS: ORD 2018, SAF Captain (Infantry), reservist active". Singapore employers (civil service, GLCs, statutory boards especially) expect to see it. For roles with frequent travel, your reservist commitment is something hiring managers plan around.

For finance roles, name CMFAS modules cleared

M1A, M5, M6, M6A, M8, M9, M9A — MAS-regulated employers (DBS, OCBC, UOB, Standard Chartered, MAS-licensed IFAs) screen on exact module list. Also state CFA, FRM, CAIA, ACCA, CACS. For private banking: WMI certifications, FAA Module 7 / 9 / 9A.

Quantify in SGD and use Singapore context

SGD for financial metrics. SGX-listed (DBS, ST Engineering, Singtel, CapitaLand) or APAC HQ scale called out. EDB-supported FDI, Temasek / GIC portfolio company, statutory board name — these carry specific weight. Reference Singapore-specific frameworks: PDPA, FCF, COMPASS, BCM, MAS Notice [XXX].

Name CGPA on a clear scale for fresh grads

NUS uses 5.0 scale ("CGPA 4.3 / 5.0, Honours Highest Distinction"), NTU and SMU use 4.0 scale ("CGPA 3.8 / 4.0, Honours Distinction"). State the scale explicitly — recruiters at DBS Sure, OCBC Future Smart, GovTech, Sea, Shopee parse on it. After ~5 years experience, drop CGPA.
