Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Engineer/Architect – Interior Design Finishes to join our dynamic team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, specifying, and implementing high-quality interior design finishes for commercial and residential projects. You will work collaboratively with architects, designers, and contractors to ensure that all finish specifications meet design intent, building codes, and client expectations. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with creative problem-solving abilities to deliver exceptional results on every project.
- Develop comprehensive interior finish specifications including materials, colors, textures, and installation methods
- Create detailed technical drawings and documentation using CAD and design software
- Conduct material research and analysis to recommend appropriate finishes based on project requirements, durability, and aesthetic goals
- Coordinate with design teams, contractors, and material suppliers to ensure seamless project execution
- Prepare and manage finish schedules, material samples, and specification documents
- Conduct site inspections and quality assurance reviews to verify that installed finishes meet specifications and standards
- Ensure all finish selections comply with local building codes, safety regulations, and sustainability standards applicable to Saudi Arabia
- Collaborate with project teams to troubleshoot design challenges and implement effective solutions
- Maintain organized documentation and project files for all finish-related specifications and approvals
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding finish options, timelines, and project updates
Qualifications
- Proficiency in CAD software and design programs for creating technical drawings and specifications
- Strong knowledge of interior finish materials, including paints, flooring, wall coverings, and specialty finishes
- Experience writing detailed material specifications and finish schedules
- Solid understanding of building codes and construction standards relevant to interior finishes
- Excellent organizational and project coordination skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance
- Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modeling) software (preferred)
- Experience with 3D visualization and rendering tools (preferred)
- Knowledge of sustainable and eco-friendly finish materials (preferred)
- Vendor and supplier management experience (preferred)
- Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in interior design finishes, architectural documentation, or related field
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
