Job Description

We are seeking an innovative and detail-oriented Architect - Landscaping to join our dynamic team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will design and develop compelling outdoor spaces that blend aesthetic vision with functional excellence. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create sustainable landscape solutions that enhance our clients' properties while respecting the unique environmental conditions of the region. The ideal candidate will bring a visionary approach to landscape architecture, combining technical expertise with creative problem-solving to deliver exceptional results.

  • Analyze and assess project sites to understand topography, soil conditions, climate factors, and existing vegetation relevant to Riyadh's arid environment
  • Develop comprehensive landscape design concepts and master plans that align with client objectives and project requirements
  • Create detailed technical drawings, specifications, and construction documents using CAD software and other design tools
  • Select appropriate plant species, hardscape materials, and irrigation systems suitable for the local Saudi Arabian climate and water conservation standards
  • Prepare 3D visualizations and renderings to present design concepts to clients and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, contractors, and other professionals to ensure seamless project integration and execution
  • Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor project progress and ensure design intent is maintained during construction
  • Analyze environmental impact and incorporate sustainable landscaping practices into all design solutions
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables while maintaining quality standards
  • Communicate design ideas and recommendations clearly to clients, presenting alternatives and justifying design decisions
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in landscape architecture
  • Ensure all designs comply with local regulations, building codes, and environmental guidelines specific to Riyadh

Qualifications

  • Proven 10 years of experience in landscape architecture and design, with a portfolio demonstrating successful project completion
  • Advanced proficiency in CAD software and landscape design programs
  • Strong knowledge of horticulture, plant selection, and maintenance requirements for arid climates
  • Expertise in site analysis, grading, drainage design, and irrigation system planning
  • Solid understanding of sustainable and environmentally responsible landscaping practices
  • Excellent technical drawing and specification writing skills
  • Demonstrated project management experience with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills with ability to articulate design concepts to diverse audiences
  • Proficiency in 3D visualization and rendering software
  • Experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling) technology
  • Knowledge of GIS (Geographic Information Systems) applications
  • Familiarity with local Saudi Arabian climate conditions, regulations, and building standards
  • Experience in large-scale commercial, residential, or mixed-use landscape projects
  • Collaborative mindset with ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities
