Hotel Duty Engineer / Duty Technician

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Duty Engineer / Duty Technician to join our hotel engineering team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and smooth operation of the hotel's mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. This role requires a proactive individual who can respond quickly to maintenance requests while ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for guests and employees.

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance of hotel facilities and equipment.
• Respond promptly to guest room maintenance requests and engineering work orders.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and mechanical issues.
• Monitor the operation of generators, pumps, water systems, lighting, and other building services.
• Ensure all engineering systems operate efficiently and safely.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and complete work orders.
• Assist in emergency repairs and equipment breakdowns.
• Follow all health, safety, and fire safety regulations.
• Coordinate with housekeeping, front office, and other departments to resolve maintenance issues.
• Report major repairs or equipment failures to the Engineering Supervisor or Chief Engineer.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and spare parts in good working condition.
• Diploma, ITI, or Technical Certification in Electrical, Mechanical, HVAC, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in hotel maintenance or building maintenance (hotel experience preferred).
• Good knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general maintenance.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently.
• Basic computer skills for updating maintenance records.
• Willingness to work rotating shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working in a hotel or hospitality environment.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs.
• Familiarity with safety standards and emergency response procedures.
