BIM Engineer-ID

The BIM Engineer –ID is responsible for developing, coordinating, and managing BIM models and technical documentation for interior fit-out works on high-rise residential, commercial, mixed-use, and hospitality projects. The role ensures that interior BIM models are accurate, coordinated with architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines, and compliant with project specifications, BIM standards, and construction requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-quality BIM models for interior fit-out works using Autodesk Revit.
• Prepare detailed interior BIM models, shop drawings, reflected ceiling plans (RCP), joinery details, finish layouts, and coordinated construction drawings.
• Coordinate interior design models with Architectural, Structural, MEP, and Façade disciplines to eliminate clashes and ensure constructability.
• Perform clash detection using Navisworks and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to resolve design conflicts.
• Prepare and update interior design documentation, including material schedules, finish schedules, room data sheets, and as-built drawings.
• Ensure BIM models comply with project specifications, BIM Execution Plans (BEP), company standards, and ISO 19650 requirements.
• Coordinate with Interior Designers, Technical Engineers, Site Engineers, QA/QC, and Construction teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review consultant and subcontractor BIM models and drawings for quality, coordination, and compliance.
• Support quantity take-offs and material estimation from BIM models where applicable.
• Participate in BIM coordination meetings and maintain clash reports and coordination logs.
• Manage model revisions and maintain document control within the Common Data Environment (CDE).
• Assist in preparing client submissions, shop drawing approvals, and authority submissions.
• Support project handover by preparing coordinated as-built BIM models and final documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
• BIM Certification is preferred.
• Autodesk Revit Certification is an advantage.

Experience

• Minimum 5–8 years of experience as a BIM Engineer – Interior Design.
• Mandatory experience in high-rise residential, commercial, mixed-use, or hospitality projects.
• UAE/GCC experience with a main contracting company is highly preferred.
• Strong experience in interior fit-out BIM coordination and multidisciplinary model integration.
