Description

Inventory Analyst will be responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing inventory levels across multiple trading and manufacturing companies within Thomsun Group. This role ensures inventory accuracy, minimizes stock shortages and excess inventory, supports demand planning, and provides data-driven insights to improve inventory performance and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor inventory levels across all group companies and warehouse locations.
  • Analyze inventory trends, stock movement, and sales performance.
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels to reduce carrying costs while ensuring product availability.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports and KPIs.
  • Investigate inventory discrepancies and coordinate corrective actions.
  • Reconcile physical stock counts with ERP/system records.
  • Support demand forecasting and replenishment planning.
  • Identify slow-moving, obsolete, and excess inventory and recommend disposal or promotional strategies.
  • Monitor stock aging and recommend actions to improve inventory turnover.
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Sales, Warehouse, Finance, and Operations teams to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Analyze purchase orders, lead times, and supplier performance to improve inventory planning.
  • Develop dashboards and reports using Excel, Power BI, or other BI tools.
  • Ensure compliance with inventory policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Support annual stock audits and periodic cycle counts.
  • Recommend process improvements to enhance inventory management efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, Finance, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in inventory analysis, supply chain, warehouse operations, or demand planning.
  • Experience in a trading, distribution, or FMCG environment is preferred.

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, Power Query, XLOOKUP, dashboards).
  • Experience with ERP systems.
  • Knowledge of inventory control principles and supply chain management.
  • Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
