JOINERY DRAFTSMAN

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed shop drawings for joinery items such as cabinets, wardrobes, doors, panels, counters, and furniture
• Interpret architectural and interior design drawings and convert them into detailed fabrication drawings
• Create cutting lists, material specifications, and joinery details
• Coordinate with architects, designers, engineers, and project managers
• Ensure drawings comply with project standards, codes, and client requirements
• Modify drawings based on site conditions or client feedback
• Work closely with production and workshop teams to ensure accurate manufacturing
• Use CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) for drafting and detailing
• Prepare joinery details including sections, plans, elevations, and exploded views if required
• Assist in material selection and optimization for cost efficiency
• Maintain drawing records, revisions, and documentation control

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Civil Engineering, or related field
• Proven experience as a Joinery Draftsman or in interior fit-out drafting
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory); knowledge of 3D software is an advantage
• Good understanding of joinery manufacturing techniques and materials (MDF, plywood, veneer, laminates, solid wood, etc.)
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Knowledge of furniture construction methods and hardware fittings
• Good communication and coordination skills

Preferred Experience

• 2–5 years (junior to mid-level role)
• Experience in interior fit-out companies, furniture manufacturing, or joinery workshop

Pay: Up to AED4,000.00 per month
