EDMP is looking for an experienced SMT & PCBA Engineer / Senior Engineer to support and improve our manufacturing operations for smart metering products.

 

We are seeking candidates with relevant SMT/PCBA manufacturing experience from East & Eastern Europe, Central Asia, Australia & New Zealand region, and Latin America .

 

Key Responsibilities

✔ SMT & PCBA Production Management

• Plan and monitor SMT and PCBA production activities

• Ensure smooth operation of SMT lines including Printer, SPI, Pick & Place, Reflow Oven, AOI, and conveyor systems

• Monitor productivity, throughput, cycle times, and line balancing

✔ Process Engineering & Optimization

• Optimize SMT process parameters for various PCB assemblies

• Conduct process validation for new products and engineering changes

• Reduce defects through process improvements and root cause analysis

• Drive Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives

✔ Equipment Management

• Support installation, commissioning, and qualification of SMT/PCBA equipment

• Coordinate preventive and predictive maintenance

• Monitor machine utilization and OEE performance

✔ Quality Assurance

• Ensure compliance with IPC standards and customer requirements

• Monitor FPY, DPMO, Rework Rate, and Process Capability

• Lead CAPA activities and defect analysis

✔ New Product Introduction (NPI)

• Support transfer of new smart meter products into production

• Review BOMs, Gerber files, and manufacturing documentation

• Conduct DFM and DFA reviews

✔ Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain SOPs, Work Instructions, Process Flow Charts, Control Plans, PFMEA, and Production Reports

• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, IPC, and EHS standards

✔ Team Leadership & Training

• Provide technical guidance to operators and technicians

• Conduct certification and skill development programs

• Support manpower planning and performance improvement initiatives

✔ Data Analysis & Reporting

• Monitor OEE, Yield, Productivity, Downtime, Material Consumption, and KPI performance

• Present improvement actions and reports to management

🎓 Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or related field

• 5–10 years of SMT & PCBA manufacturing experience

• Minimum 3 years in Smart Metering, Telecommunications, Industrial Electronics, or similar manufacturing environments

• Experience with high-volume automated production lines
