Junior Valve Technician/ Mechanical Technician

Job Purpose

We are looking for a Junior Valve Technician to assist in valve refurbishment, maintenance, dismantling, cleaning, assembly, and testing activities. Candidates with mechanical background can apply, even if they do not have direct valve experience.

This role is suitable for mechanical technicians, helpers, fitters, maintenance assistants, or fresh technical candidates who are willing to learn valve repair, servicing, and testing work.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist senior technicians in dismantling, cleaning, repairing, assembling, and testing industrial valves.
• Support valve refurbishment work such as gasket replacement, gland packing replacement, bolting, cleaning, lapping support, and basic mechanical work.
• Handle tools, materials, and components safely during workshop and site activities.
• Assist in hydro testing, pressure testing, leak testing, and functional testing under supervision.
• Clean and prepare valve parts for inspection and repair.
• Follow instructions from senior technicians, supervisors, and engineers.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper arrangement of tools, equipment, and work area.
• Help in loading, unloading, shifting, and handling valves and related components.
• Follow company safety rules, quality procedures, and work instructions.
• Learn valve types, valve parts, repair procedures, testing methods, and maintenance practices.
• Support site jobs and emergency maintenance work whenever required.

Required Skills and Experience

• Basic mechanical knowledge or experience in mechanical maintenance, fitting, workshop work, equipment repair, or industrial maintenance.
• Valve experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Ability to use basic hand tools and workshop tools.
• Willingness to learn valve refurbishment, testing, and industrial maintenance work.
• Physically fit and able to work in workshop and site conditions.
• Good discipline, teamwork, and safety awareness.

Qualification

• ITI, Diploma, Technical Certificate, or equivalent in Mechanical, Fitter, Maintenance, or related field.
• Freshers with mechanical background may also apply.
• Experienced mechanical helpers or technicians can also be considered.
