Position: Electrical & Plumbing Engineer

Job Summary:
The Electrical & Plumbing Engineer is responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising, and executing all electrical and plumbing works to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and project schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review and interpret electrical and plumbing drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Prepare material take-offs, BOQs, cost estimates, and procurement schedules.
  • Supervise site activities related to electrical, plumbing, drainage, water supply, and associated systems.
  • Ensure all installations are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, local authority requirements, and project specifications.
  • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and other disciplines to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Monitor work progress and ensure timely completion of electrical and plumbing activities.
  • Prepare technical submittals, shop drawings, method statements, and inspection requests.
  • Conduct site inspections and quality control checks to ensure compliance with project standards.
  • Coordinate testing, commissioning, and handover of electrical and plumbing systems.
  • Resolve technical issues and provide practical engineering solutions during construction.
  • Attend project meetings and prepare progress reports as required.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Liaise with relevant authorities and utility providers for approvals and inspections.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure adherence to contractual obligations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in electrical and plumbing construction works.
  • Knowledge of electrical distribution systems, lighting, power, plumbing, drainage, water supply, and pump systems.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and other relevant engineering software.
  • Familiarity with local authority regulations and construction standards.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
