Job Summary
We are looking for a hands-on Production Supervisor to oversee daily workshop operations — from cutting and fabrication through to fitting, assembly, and finishing. This person will manage the production floor team, enforce quality checkpoints, control scrap and rework, and ensure jobs are delivered on time and to specification. This is a floor-level leadership role, not a desk job — you need to be present on the shop floor directing work, not just reviewing reports.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and oversee daily production across cutting, bending, fitting, welding, and assembly stations
• Allocate manpower and machines to jobs based on priority, delivery deadlines, and rush orders
• Enforce quality checkpoints (first-piece inspection, DXF peer review, in-process checks) at each stage of production
• Monitor and reduce scrap through proper nesting, remnant management, and adherence to cutting plans
• Review engineering drawings (DXF/2D) with the team before jobs are released to the floor, catching design or fitting issues early
• Supervise and mentor fitters, welders, and machine operators; manage attendance, discipline, and daily task assignment
• Coordinate with the design/DXF team on drawing discrepancies or fabrication feasibility issues
• Track job progress and report daily/weekly production status, delays, and bottlenecks to management
• Maintain workshop safety standards and ensure PPE compliance across the floor
• Manage tooling, machine upkeep, and flag maintenance issues before they cause downtime
• Support pricing/costing discussions by flagging jobs where actual scrap or labor time exceeds estimates

Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in sheet metal fabrication, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
• Strong technical understanding of sheet metal processes: cutting, bending, welding, fitting, and enclosure assembly
• Ability to read and cross-check engineering/fabrication drawings (DXF/2D)
• Proven ability to manage a team of 10+ shop-floor workers
• Track record of controlling scrap, rework, and production delays
• Strong communication skills — able to give clear instructions and hold workers accountable
• Basic computer literacy (production tracking, WhatsApp/Excel reporting minimum)

Preferred Qualifications

• Diploma/ITI in Mechanical, Production, or Fabrication Engineering
• Experience specifically in enclosure or panel manufacturing
• Exposure to ERP or production tracking systems
• Bilingual (English + Hindi/Urdu) to communicate across the shop floor workforce
