System Engineer – Server & Infrastructure

We are looking for an experienced System Engineer – Server & Infrastructure to manage, maintain, and support our company's server systems, virtualization platforms, backup solutions, and related IT systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage, maintain, and monitor the company’s server infrastructure and systems.
• Install, configure, administer, and troubleshoot Windows Server environments.
• Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.
• Manage user accounts, permissions, access rights, and security policies.
• Manage and monitor server backup and recovery systems, ensuring backup integrity and availability.
• Perform regular backup verification, recovery testing, and data restoration when required.
• Monitor server performance, capacity, availability, and overall system health.
• Perform server maintenance, operating system updates, security patching, and vulnerability remediation.
• Manage VMware and/or Hyper-V virtualization environments, including virtual machines and resource allocation.
• Administer Microsoft SQL Server and application servers, where required.
• Troubleshoot server, operating system, virtualization, backup, and application-related issues.
• Ensure high availability, security, stability, and performance of server systems.
• Maintain complete server, backup, network, and IT infrastructure documentation.
• Coordinate with software vendors, AMC providers, and technical support teams for server-related issues.
• Provide server-side technical support to company offices and project sites.
• Support Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity (BCP) activities related to IT systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of relevant experience in System Engineering, Server Administration, or Infrastructure Management.
• Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server administration.
• Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.
• Hands-on experience with VMware and/or Hyper-V.
• Strong experience in server backup, recovery, and data restoration.
• Experience with backup solutions such as Veeam, Acronis, Veritas, or equivalent is preferred.
• Experience troubleshooting Windows Server, virtualization, backup systems, and server applications.
• Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server is an advantage.
• Good understanding of server security, patch management, and monitoring.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently and take end-to-end ownership of server systems.
• UAE experience is preferred.
