Within Technical Development, the Vehicle Concepts department shapes the vehicles of tomorrow by creating and evaluating holistic vehicle concepts from the earliest stages of development. The team combines technical analysis, virtual simulations, system integration, architecture development, and innovation management to define future Audi products. Working closely with design, engineering, user experience, systems architecture, and strategy teams, the department develops technically feasible and customer-oriented car concepts. After completing the program, you will contribute to the development of future vehicle concepts, coordinate cross-functional technical requirements, and support the integration of innovative technologies and AI-driven engineering approaches into next-generation vehicle architectures.
Job Purpose/Role
- You will build up the car from scratch to end - from a technical perspective
- During the program, you will work independently on up to four additional projects in various divisions of the company, one of which will take place at a VW Group brand abroad
- You will complete the first project within your target field Vehicle Concept Development
- In addition, you will complete short modules in different areas of the company (e. g., assembly)
- You will engage in various working groups within the Graduate Trainee Community
- After completing the program, you will assume your permanent position in your target field Key Requirements/Skills/Experience
- A university degree from an accredited institution in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Vehicle Engineering or a similar technical field
- Above-average academic performance
- Interest in vehicle concepts, systems engineering, product development and AI-supported engineering tools
- Initial experience in vehicle development, CAD design, simulation, systems integration, or technical project work is advantageous
- Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills
- Minimum of three months of international experience during your academic studies through internships or an exchange semester
- Practical experience of at least six months through relevant internships
- Fluent English and German language skills at B1 level
- Relevant extra-curricular commitment
