Technical Manager

We are conducting a search on behalf of a major offshore drilling operator in Saudi Arabia for a Senior Manager – Technical to lead strategic and technical oversight of fleet equipment, maintenance, and reliability across offshore rig operations.

Role Overview:

This role owns the strategic and technical direction of the fleet's maintenance and reliability function — spanning CMMS, well control, Field Support, and capital equipment management — while driving compliance, longevity, and continuous improvement initiatives across the offshore asset base.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead Technical Support, Well Control, and Maintenance & Reliability department strategy, goals, and standards
• Manage department budgets, resources, and tools
• Oversee SAP CMMS implementation and standardized maintenance practices fleet-wide
• Direct offshore Field Support teams supporting rig-based mechanical, electrical, and well control integrity
• Develop 5-year equipment inspection and maintenance philosophies
• Provide strategic technical input into annual maintenance budgets
• Lead equipment downtime incident investigations and corrective actions
• Evaluate new technologies for rig implementation
• Support SPS, reactivation, and upgrade projects across the fleet

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• Minimum 15 years' experience in Oil & Gas, including 5+ years in a Technical Managerial role
• Proven leadership in Offshore Technical Troubleshooting, Maintenance & Project Management

Skills:

• Strong leadership, mentoring, and team development capability
• Advanced technical problem-solving across offshore fleet operations
• Advanced Microsoft Excel & Microsoft Project proficiency
• Working knowledge of document control systems and databases
