Our client is a specialist in critical power solutions, delivering complex emergency power systems for mission-critical environments worldwide. Their projects range from large-scale data centres to other demanding installations where reliability, safety, and continuous operation are essential.
Working within a highly skilled international team, they design, test, commission, and support advanced backup power installations that help organizations stay operational under all circumstances.
What Will You Do?
As a Commissioning Engineer , you will be responsible for the testing, commissioning, verification, and optimization of complete emergency power installations. Working closely with engineering, project, and installation teams, you will ensure every system performs safely, reliably, and in compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
Your responsibilities include:
- Acting as the primary technical contact for customers during commissioning activities.
- Planning, coordinating, and executing FAT (Factory Acceptance Tests) and SAT (Site Acceptance Tests).
- Testing and validating generators and complete emergency power systems.
- Troubleshooting technical issues and implementing effective solutions during commissioning.
- Configuring and testing generator control systems and automatic power transfer functions.
- Commissioning synchronization systems for multiple generator installations.
- Using advanced monitoring and data logging tools to analyze performance and identify faults.
- Commissioning fuel systems and associated auxiliary equipment.
- Verifying compliance with project requirements, technical specifications, and applicable standards.
- Preparing commissioning reports, test records, and system validation documentation.
What Do You Bring?
- MBO Level 4 qualification or equivalent technical education and working level.
- At least 3 years of experience as a Commissioning Engineer, Field Service Engineer, Troubleshooting Engineer, or a similar technical role.
- Strong background in electrical engineering and power systems.
- Ability to read, interpret, and troubleshoot electrical schematics.
- Hands-on experience with electrical installations, wiring, and testing activities.
- Experience with generator control platforms such as DEIF, ComAp, or Deep Sea Electronics (DSE).
- Good command of the English language, both written and spoken.
- Willingness to travel internationally for approximately 70% of the time.
- Flexibility, independence, and a proactive mindset.
