Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Architect Engineer with strong experience in high-rise building construction to lead and coordinate architectural works from design development through construction and handover. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that architectural designs, materials, shop drawings, and site execution comply with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project requirements.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise architectural works for high-rise building construction projects.
• Review architectural drawings, specifications, design documents, and contract requirements.
• Coordinate architectural works with structural, MEP, civil, and other engineering disciplines.
• Review and approve shop drawings, material submissions, samples, method statements, and technical submittals.
• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and project management teams.
• Ensure site execution is in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and applicable standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections and monitor architectural works and finishing activities.
• Identify design conflicts, discrepancies, and constructability issues and coordinate appropriate solutions.
• Prepare and review RFIs, technical queries, and design clarification requests.
• Monitor architectural works against project schedules and coordinate with the planning team to maintain progress.
• Ensure proper coordination and implementation of architectural details and finishes.
• Review mock-ups and ensure approved materials and finishes are properly implemented on site.
• Monitor the quality of architectural works and ensure compliance with project quality requirements.
• Assist in resolving technical and construction-related issues during project execution.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, snagging, and rectification works.
• Review as-built drawings and ensure architectural documentation is properly maintained.
• Participate in project meetings and provide technical updates to management.
• Coordinate with authorities and consultants where required for architectural approvals.
• Support the project team during testing, commissioning, completion, and handover.
• Ensure compliance with UAE building regulations, relevant codes, health and safety requirements, and project standards.

High-Rise Building Experience

The candidate should have strong hands-on experience in high-rise building projects, including:

• Residential and commercial towers
• Façade and curtain wall systems
• External and internal finishes
• Lobby and common-area finishes
• Typical floor architectural works
• Podium and basement areas
• Waterproofing and architectural interfaces
• Doors, windows, and glazing
• Stone, tiles, ceiling, and flooring works
• Coordination of architectural works with MEP and structural systems
• Snagging, testing, completion, and handover

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture / Architectural Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8–12 years of relevant experience in architectural construction.
• Strong experience in high-rise building construction is required.
• Experience working with main contractors, consultants, or developers is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of architectural construction methods, materials, and finishes.
• Good knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit/BIM is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of architectural coordination and site execution.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to manage technical issues and work effectively under project deadlines.
• UAE/GCC construction experience is highly preferred.
