About the Company

Stafmed is currently recruiting a highly experienced Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon for an exciting full-time position with a leading hospital in the UAE.

About the Role

We are seeking a distinguished Consultant Orthopedic Surgeon with extensive expertise in diagnosing and managing a broad range of musculoskeletal conditions affecting adults and/or paediatric patients. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive orthopedic care, utilizing advanced diagnostic techniques, evidence-based treatment approaches, and surgical expertise to deliver high-quality, patient-centred care.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive orthopedic assessment, diagnosis, and management of patients
  • Diagnose and manage a wide range of musculoskeletal, bone, joint, and soft-tissue conditions
  • Perform and oversee orthopedic surgical procedures within the candidate’s area of expertise
  • Manage complex orthopedic conditions requiring multidisciplinary care
  • Perform appropriate pre-operative and post-operative assessment and management
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on clinical assessment and evidence-based guidelines
  • Manage sports injuries, degenerative joint conditions, fractures, and other orthopedic disorders
  • Utilize advanced diagnostic and imaging techniques to support clinical decision-making
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physiotherapists, rehabilitation specialists, and other multidisciplinary teams
  • Participate in clinical governance, audits, and quality improvement initiatives
  • Support medical education, training, and departmental development

Qualifications

  • Board certification in Orthopedic Surgery or equivalent
  • Recognised Tier 1 qualification, including ABMS, Canadian Royal College certification, UK CCT/CCST, German Facharzt, or an equivalent recognised qualification
  • Minimum 3–5 years of post-specialisation experience in Orthopedic Surgery
  • Eligibility for Consultant-level licensing with DHA, DOH, or MOHAP

Required Skills

  • Extensive experience in Orthopedic Surgery
  • Expertise in diagnosing and managing a broad range of musculoskeletal conditions
  • Strong surgical expertise within the candidate’s subspecialty
  • Experience in managing complex orthopedic cases
  • Strong clinical decision-making and surgical skills
  • Ability to perform evidence-based orthopedic procedures safely and effectively
  • Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Commitment to patient safety, clinical excellence, and continuous quality improvement
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment
