Job Summary:

The Production supervisor / Foreman will supervise the complete production process including steel fabrication, welding, diesel tank and base frame fabrication, soundproof canopy assembly, engine-alternator, coupling/alignment, mechanical assembly, electrical assembly and control panel installation. The production supervisor will manage technicians and workers, control manpower and working hours, set daily production targets and ensure jobs are completed on schedule and according to drawings and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

• Production and Assembly supervision
• Supervise daily generator assembly and production activities
• Assign work for technicians, electricians, mechanics, and assembly personnel
• Ensure production targets and completion schedules are achieved
• Monitor the assembly of the following:
• Diesel Engines
• Alternators
• Base Frames
• Fuel Tanks
• Radiators
• Canopies
• Exhaust Systems
• Cantrol Panels
• Battery Systems
• Wiring and Electrical Components
• Ensure proper Installation and alignment of engine and alternator components
• Monitor torqueing, coupling, mounting, cabling, piping, and other assembly activities.
• Ensure production is carried out according to approved drawings, BOMs, specifications, and work instructions.
• Generator Testing and commissioning
• Supervise pre-testing and final testing of completed generator sets
• Coordinate with QC/Testing Technicians during testing activities
• Ensure proper testing of the following:
• Voltage
• Frequency
• Phase sequence
• Current
• Engine speed
• Oil pressure
• Coolant temperature
• Battery voltage
• Emergency shutdown
• Protection functions
• Control panel functions
• Supervise load bank testing when required
• ensure generator performance meets the required technical specifications
• Identify abnormal readings, defects, or performance issues and coordinate corrective action
• Supervision for Quality Control Team
• Production Planning and Coordination
• Plan regarding daily and weekly production requirements
• Review production schedule and prioritize urgent orders
• Coordination with the internal departments
• Ensure required materials and components are available before starting the production.
• Report shortages, delays, damaged materials, or technical issues immediately
• Monitor production progress and provide regular status updates
• Technical Troubleshooting
• Troubleshoot Mechanical and Electrical problems encountered during generator Assembly and Testing
• Identify the root cause of production and testing failures
• Assist Technicians in resolving the following:
• Engine Problems
• Starting problems
• Wiring faults
• Control Panel faults
• Alternator issues
• Voltage/Frequency abnormalities
• Sensor Problems
• Battery/charging problems
• Cooling system problems
• Protection and shutdown faults

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
• Technical certification in Diesel Generator, Electrical, Mechanical, or related fields is an advantage.
• Minimum 5–8 years of experience in generator assembly, diesel generator production, electrical/mechanical manufacturing, or a related industry.
• At least 2–3 years of supervisory or team-lead experience is preferred.
• Experience with diesel generator brands such as Cummins, Perkins, Caterpillar, Volvo Penta, Mitsubishi, Doosan, FPT, or similar is an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of generator assembly and testing procedures.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Knowledge of generator control systems such as DSE, ComAp, DEIF, or equivalent is an advantage.
• Must have UAE Driving license
• Can start immediately!
