Job Description WSP is seeking a Graduate Engineer (Emirati National) to support transportation planning and mobility solutions across infrastructure projects. You will assist in traffic analysis, transport modelling, and the development of sustainable mobility strategies while working closely with multidisciplinary teams. This role offers practical exposure to data collection, technical analysis, and transport planning studies within a professional consultancy environment.

Responsibilities Assist in analysing and evaluating transportation systems, including traffic flow, congestion points, and infrastructure capacity.

Support the development and optimisation of traffic models to improve network performance.

Contribute to sustainable transport initiatives, including public transport, cycling, walking, and shared mobility solutions.

Conduct data collection and field surveys such as traffic counts and travel time studies.

Prepare reports, presentations, and technical documentation summarising findings and recommendations.

Assist in transport planning studies, feasibility assessments, and environmental impact assessments.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate mobility strategies into infrastructure projects.

Support compliance with applicable transportation standards and regulations.

Stay updated on trends and innovations in transport planning and mobility technologies.

Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS   

  • UAE National (with a valid Family Book).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Transport Planning, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning, Architecture, or a related discipline.
  • Recent graduate or up to 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Internships, academic projects, or practical exposure in transportation planning, traffic engineering, or civil engineering are advantageous.
  • Knowledge of transportation planning principles, traffic flow theory, and mobility strategies.
  • Familiarity with transportation planning software (e.g., SYNCHRO, VISSIM, SIDRA, or similar tools) is an advantage but not required.
  • Familiarity with fieldwork, data collection, and survey techniques is an advantage.
