AV Design Engineer

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated AV Design Engineer / AV Design Consultant to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing, estimating, and delivering integrated Audio Visual solutions for commercial, corporate, hospitality, government, education, and entertainment projects.

This role requires a technically strong individual capable of managing projects from concept through commissioning while working closely with clients, consultants, architects, MEP teams, vendors, and project managers.

Key Responsibilities

• Design complete Audio-Visual (AV) systems for commercial, corporate, hospitality, education, government, and enterprise projects.
• Prepare comprehensive AV design documentation, including schematics, single-line diagrams, signal flow diagrams, rack layouts, cable schedules, technical drawings, and construction drawings.
• Develop Bills of Quantities (BOQ), Bills of Materials (BOM), cost estimates, quotations, technical specifications, tender documentation, and technical scopes of work.
• Review project specifications, Statements of Function (SOF), and client requirements to recommend compliant, cost-effective AV solutions.
• Perform site surveys, needs analysis, and technical coordination with clients, consultants, architects, interior designers, MEP, ICT teams, project managers, and other stakeholders.
• Collaborate with sales, project management, engineering, and installation teams throughout the project lifecycle to ensure designs are technically sound, practical, and within budget.
• Source and evaluate AV equipment from manufacturers and vendors, negotiate pricing where required, and support product evaluations and selection.
• Prepare and submit technical proposals, bid documents, and tender responses in accordance with project requirements and deadlines.
• Provide pre-sales engineering support, technical presentations, and client consultations throughout the sales process.
• Support installation teams by providing technical documentation, design clarifications, troubleshooting assistance, and engineering support during project execution.
• Review installation work and monitor quality to ensure compliance with company standards, design intent, and project specifications.
• Participate in system testing, commissioning, client demonstrations, final handover, and end-user training.
• Manage design revisions and maintain accurate project documentation, including BOM updates, technical submissions, and engineering records throughout the project lifecycle.
• Analyze project costs, historical data, and supplier pricing to improve estimating accuracy and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Respond to client technical inquiries and provide ongoing support to sales, project management, and operations teams.
• Stay current with emerging AV technologies, industry standards, and best practices to continuously improve system designs and project delivery.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in AV system design, integration, or estimation.
• Strong knowledge of AV system design, BOQs, BOMs, quotations, and cost estimation.
• Experience with AV-over-IP, Dante, UC/Video Conferencing, Digital Signage, and LED Video Walls.
• Familiarity with leading AV brands such as Crestron, Extron, Logitech, Poly, Cisco, Shure, Biamp, Bose, Samsung, LG, Barco, Epson, Kramer, and Yealink.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, XTEN AV, EASE, Visio, or similar AV design software.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and project coordination skills.
• Ability to read technical drawings and manage multiple projects.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• UAE Driving Licence is preferred.

Pay: AED8,000.00 - AED10,000.00 per month
