Landscape Civil Engineer

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Landscape Civil Engineer with valid SOE (Society of Engineers – UAE) membership and a UAE Driving License. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising and executing landscape and civil infrastructure works, ensuring compliance with local authority standards, project specifications, and HSE regulations.

The candidate must have strong site execution experience in landscape civil works including irrigation systems, drainage networks, and hardscape construction.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Landscape Engineering, Landscape Architecture, Civil Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, Horticulture, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience in landscape design, construction, or maintenance (depending on the role).
• Strong knowledge of landscape construction techniques, planting design, irrigation systems, drainage, grading, and hardscape works.
• Proficiency in design and drafting software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, SketchUp, Revit, or other landscape design tools.
• Familiarity with local landscape standards, environmental regulations, and sustainable design practices.
• Knowledge of plant materials, soil science, irrigation systems, and landscape maintenance principles.
• Experience in preparing landscape drawings, specifications, bills of quantities (BOQs), and cost estimates.
• Ability to review shop drawings, material submittals, and landscape construction methodologies.
• Strong project management, coordination, and organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to conduct site inspections, monitor construction quality, and resolve technical issues.
• Professional certification or membership in a recognized engineering or landscape professional body is an advantage.
• Valid driver's license, if regular site visits are required.

Responsibilities:

• Plan, design, and develop landscape projects in accordance with client requirements, project specifications, and applicable standards.
• Prepare landscape design drawings, planting plans, hardscape layouts, irrigation plans, grading plans, and technical details.
• Coordinate with architects, civil, structural, MEP engineers, and other project stakeholders to ensure integrated project delivery.
• Prepare technical specifications, bills of quantities (BOQs), cost estimates, and material schedules.
• Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and samples for compliance with project requirements.
• Supervise landscape construction activities, including softscape, hardscape, irrigation, lighting, and site furnishings.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, safety, and compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Ensure proper installation of plants, irrigation systems, paving, retaining walls, water features, and other landscape elements.
• Monitor contractor performance and provide technical guidance to resolve construction issues.
• Coordinate project schedules, resources, and site activities to achieve project milestones.
• Ensure compliance with local regulations, environmental standards, and sustainable landscape practices.
• Prepare progress reports, inspection reports, snag lists, and project documentation.
• Verify completed work for payment certifications and assist in project handover.
• Support project planning, budgeting, procurement, and contract administration activities.
• Identify project risks and recommend practical engineering solutions to minimize delays and cost impacts.
• Promote quality assurance, health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards throughout all phases of the project.
• Participate in project meetings and maintain effective communication with clients, consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
