About The Role The Procurement Engineer - HVAC/MEP Projects (Saudi Talent) is based in Riyadh and responsible for managing the procurement of project-related materials, equipment, and subcontracting services to ensure technical compliance, competitive pricing, and timely delivery in line with project schedules and company objectives. The role supports successful execution of HVAC projects across KSA through effective supplier management, commercial negotiations, and coordination with engineering, project, and operations teams.

How You Will Make An Impact You will support the successful execution of HVAC projects across KSA by driving procurement efficiency, ensuring supplier compliance, optimizing project costs, and maintaining on-time material availability across the following areas:

  • Manage the complete procurement cycle from material requisition to final delivery for HVAC projects.
  • Review technical specifications, BOQs, drawings, and procurement requests to ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Source, evaluate, and prequalify suppliers, manufacturers, and subcontractors while conducting techno-commercial evaluations for cost-effective and technically compliant solutions.
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery schedules, warranties, and contractual conditions with suppliers and issue Purchase Orders in line with company procedures.
  • Coordinate with engineering, estimation, project management, warehouse, and finance teams to ensure smooth project execution and timely material availability.
  • Monitor procurement schedules, expedite critical materials, and follow up on manufacturing progress, inspections, logistics, customs clearance, and site deliveries.
  • Maintain procurement records, vendor documentation, procurement tracking reports, and supplier performance evaluations within ERP/SAP systems.
  • Analyze market trends, pricing movements, and procurement KPIs to support strategic sourcing and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Participate in supplier meetings, factory visits, technical clarifications, and vendor development programs to improve procurement performance.
  • Mentor and support junior procurement engineers and procurement coordinators when required.

What You Need To Succeed

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
  • Minimum 4 years of procurement experience in HVAC, MEP, or industrial projects.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement, sourcing, and supply chain processes within the HVAC industry.
  • Experience in procurement of HVAC equipment such as chillers, AHUs, FCUs, VRF systems, ventilation systems, pumps, valves, and related MEP materials.
  • Strong understanding of technical specifications, project BOQs, and commercial terms.
  • Experience working with HVAC contractors, OEMs, and regional suppliers within KSA/GCC markets is preferred.
  • Strong negotiation, vendor management, and commercial evaluation skills.
  • Good understanding of project execution requirements, delivery planning, and material coordination.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
