Description
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all civil construction activities related to substation projects.
- Plan, organize, and monitor project execution in accordance with approved schedules and project requirements.
- Supervise site engineers, supervisors, foremen, subcontractors, and construction teams.
- Ensure construction activities are executed in compliance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project standards.
- Coordinate with project management, engineering, procurement, QA/QC, and HSE teams to achieve project objectives.
- Monitor project progress and implement corrective actions to maintain project schedules.
- Review construction methodologies and resolve technical and site-related issues.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, and utility authorities on construction and project execution matters.
- Ensure effective utilization of manpower, equipment, and materials.
- Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure contractual obligations are fulfilled.
- Participate in project meetings and provide regular progress updates to management.
- Ensure compliance with quality requirements, safety regulations, and company procedures.
- Review and verify work completed for progress reporting and project documentation.
- Support project closeout activities, testing, commissioning readiness, and handover requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering. MOHESR Equivalency mandatory.
- Minimum 10–15 years of civil construction experience.
- Minimum 5 years in a managerial role overseeing infrastructure or utility projects.
- Experience in electrical substation projects is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of foundations, cable trenches, retaining structures, control buildings, roadworks, drainage systems, and associated civil infrastructure.
- Proven ability to manage site execution teams and subcontractors.
- Strong understanding of project scheduling, resource planning, and construction management principles.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project reporting tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- UAE experience in utility or substation projects.
- Experience working with TAQA, ADDC, TRANSCO, AADC, DEWA, or similar utility authorities.
- Familiarity with EPC project execution environments.
Pay: AED20,000.00 - AED24,000.00 per month
