Job Summary

Unitek General Contracting LLC is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Purchase Officer with experience in the UAE construction industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing construction materials, negotiating with suppliers, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring the timely procurement of materials and services required for ongoing projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Source and procure construction materials, equipment, tools, and services in accordance with project requirements.
• Obtain quotations from multiple suppliers and conduct comparative analysis to ensure cost-effective purchasing.
• Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and contractual conditions with suppliers.
• Issue Purchase Orders (POs) and monitor the procurement process until delivery.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and new suppliers and vendors.
• Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, stores, and accounts departments to ensure timely material availability.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with the store department to avoid material shortages.
• Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, pricing, delivery, and service.
• Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain procurement records, supplier databases, and documentation for audit purposes.
• Resolve supplier-related issues, delivery delays, and material discrepancies.
• Stay updated on market trends, pricing, and new suppliers within the UAE construction industry.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of UAE experience as a Purchase Officer in the construction or contracting industry.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Proven experience in supplier sourcing and vendor management.
• Good knowledge of construction materials, procurement procedures, and local UAE market.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and ERP/Procurement software.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple procurement requests simultaneously.
• UAE Driving License is preferred.
• Immediate joiners or candidates with a short notice period will be preferred.
