Responsibilities
The Project BIM Coordinator is the key person coordinating model information in the BIM Asset between disciplines. The BIM Coordinator coordinates the collaborative production, maintenance, and dissemination of the unified building information models and associated construction documents of different projects. The BIM coordinator has a strong proficiency with industry tools and Autodesk software packages (including Revit, Navisworks), and have experience implementing 5D BIM. Experience with Dynamo, 6D BIM, BIM 360, or related, is a plus.
- Conduct affairs with the highest standards of respect, integrity, accountability, agility, quality, safety and corporate governance
- Ensure compliance with Code of Ethics policy and adopting company values
- Support in utilizing BIM tools used on a project
- Support project teams of architects, engineers, and builders to produce fully integrated, comprehensive, and detailed 5D/6D building information models that include all building subsystems
- Ensure that all Models are up to date, organized, and readily accessible to all project team members at all times
- Perform clash detections and work with project partners to remedy detected issues
- Work closely with the BIM Manager to refine BIM software stack and BIM creation process
- Use BIM authoring tools (Revit) to develop models at prequalification and tender stages for use in bids and works proposals
- Utilize coordination/review tools such as Navisworks to federate, coordinate, clash detect and produce reports
- Use simulation tools such as Navisworks, aligned with project schedules/programs to produce 4D simulations
- Level 2 BIM requires a thorough understanding of what and the ability to produce all deliverables required by the mandate such as BIM execution plans, MPDTs, MIDPs, COBie outputs etc.
- Use CDEs and Data management software tools such as Viewpoint, Vault, etc. with experience in Information Management (based on the principles of BS1192)
- Attend meetings with consultant, Cost Control, Planning and Engineering
- Ensure that BIM is updated continuously throughout the construction process and must include all agenda, approved change orders, field orders, clarifications, RFI and AS-Built drawings
- Work closely with the BIM Manager to refine BIM software stack and BIM creation process
Qualifications
- Proficiency in written and spoken English (Arabic is a plus)
- B.Sc. in Engineering Degree
- Minimum 5 Years of work Experience as a Design Engineer or Project coordinator
- BIM Skills
- Specific software Application and especially Navisworks & Revit is a must
- AutoCAD application design skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Proficient in Engineering Knowledge and BIM Design Coordination Demonstrate a strong practical knowledge in QA/QC Management, Project and Contractual Management
