Job description

Position Objectives:

The primary objective of the Power BI Specialist role is to transform complex business data into compelling, interactive, and automated visual insights. The role is responsible for the end-to-end development of the Business Intelligence ecosystem, including ETL design, data modeling, and advanced Power BI dashboard development. This position plays a key role in strengthening the organization’s data-driven decision-making and analytics maturity.

Job Description & Responsibilities:

  • Gather and analyze business requirements to define functional and technical specifications for BI and reporting solutions.
  • Migrate and modernize legacy reports by converting them into Power BI dashboards and reports.
  • Identify emerging analytics trends and opportunities to support innovation and business growth.
  • Connect to multiple data sources, import, cleanse, transform, and model data for analytics and reporting purposes.
  • Rapidly stage and shape data from disparate sources into scalable reporting and analytics solutions.
  • Define design methodologies and maintain comprehensive project and technical documentation.
  • Develop tabular and multidimensional data models aligned with enterprise data warehouse standards.
  • Translate business requirements into efficient data models while ensuring optimal resource utilization.
  • Embed Power BI reports into internal or external applications using Power BI Service (SaaS) and API-based automation.
  • Design and develop custom Power BI visuals where standard visuals do not meet business needs.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server technologies.
  • Minimum 4 years of professional experience developing solutions using Power BI.
  • Strong proficiency in DAX, MDX, Power Query, and advanced calculations.
  • Deep understanding of relational, multidimensional, and analytical database design principles.
