Job description

Position Objectives

Ensure effective project governance and control across all project phases by managing risks, changes, quality, and processes. Drive compliance, enhance visibility, and support decision-making to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with defined standards.

Job Description and Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update the project risk register with clear ownership and timelines
  • Assess risks based on probability and impact and define mitigation plans
  • Track risks and escalate critical or overdue items to management
  • Manage issue logs and ensure linkage with risks and changes
  • Support governance forums including Steering Committees and Change Boards
  • Ensure compliance with governance frameworks and audit requirements
  • Maintain a centralized change control register for all project changes
  • Assess impact of changes on schedule, cost, and stakeholders
  • Coordinate approvals and ensure proper documentation of all change requests
  • Track and report status of approved and pending changes
  • Ensure adherence to defined processes, SLAs, and governance standards
  • Review project documentation including reports, trackers, and MoMs
  • Conduct quality checks and identify gaps with recommended improvements
  • Monitor RAID logs, action trackers, and ensure timely follow-up
  • Define and implement project control frameworks and SOPs
  • Drive continuous improvement through lessons learned and best practices
  • Support onboarding, training, and knowledge transfer across teams
  • Maintain centralized documentation and process repositories

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field
  • 15+ years of experience in Project Controls, PMO, or Governance roles
  • Experience in telecom or large-scale infrastructure/digital transformation projects
  • Hands-on experience in risk management, change control, and governance reporting
  • Certification such as Project Management Professional (PMP) or PRINCE2 preferred
  • Strong knowledge of project governance, risk, and change management
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and reporting tools such as Power BI
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
