Senior Software Asset Management (SAM)

Client Introduction

In this role, you will collaborate closely with one of our esteemed clients—a global leader in their industry, recognized for their commitment to quality, innovation, and excellence. They have partnered with Dautom as their trusted IT consulting provider for upcoming strategic initiatives.

Mandatory Skills

1 SAM Experience 6 – 10 years of hands-on Software Asset Management / Licensing

experience (not procurement-only or CMDB-only profiles).

2 Service Provider / MSP

Background

Prior experience working with a service provider, MSP, or

managed services vendor delivering SAM services to enterprise

or government clients.

3 ServiceNow SAM Pro —

Certified

Active ServiceNow SAM Pro certification is mandatory. Hands-on

administration and configuration of SAM Pro required.

4 FinOps — Hands-On Demonstrable hands-on FinOps experience: cloud cost

optimization, showback/chargeback, Azure/SaaS consumption

analysis, and FinOps-aligned license optimization. FinOps

Certified Practitioner preferred.

5 Vendor Licensing Depth Expert-level licensing knowledge across at least 4 of: Microsoft

(M365, Windows Server, SQL, AVS), Adobe, Autodesk, Oracle,

VMware/Broadcom, Red Hat.

6 Audit Leadership Has personally led or been a core participant in at least 2 major

vendor audits (Microsoft / Oracle / Adobe / Autodesk / VMware).

7 Contract Negotiation Proven track record in EA renewals, subscription renewals, and

vendor negotiations with documented savings or cost-avoidance

outcomes.
