Exchange Operations & Virtual Asset Settlement Manager

This is not conventional operations management. It is mission-critical virtual asset operations, where precision, control, and settlement execution protect client assets and institutional trust.

What you will be doing

Client asset & settlement operations

• Oversee daily wallet operations, deposits, withdrawals, trade settlements, and reconciliations
• Manage settlement and reconciliation across blockchains, wallet infrastructure, liquidity providers, and banking partners
• Maintain dual-control procedures, approval hierarchies, and segregation of duties for all asset movements
• Ensure the segregation of client virtual assets, including the appropriate use of hot, warm, and cold-wallet arrangements
• Oversee sweeping mechanisms and daily virtual asset reconciliations in accordance with applicable VARA requirements and Ofza policies
• Investigate breaks, failed settlements, and reconciliation variances, ensuring timely resolution and escalation

Fireblocks & wallet infrastructure

Hands-on Fireblocks expertise is central to this role.

• Own the day-to-day administration of Ofza’s Fireblocks environment
• Manage workspace configuration, Transaction Authorization Policy [TAP] rules, whitelisting, and approval workflows
• Configure and maintain user roles, quorum structures, approval authorities, and MPC key-management controls
• Help ensure that Ofza’s wallet architecture remains secure, scalable, and aligned with regulatory requirements and industry best practices
• Act as Ofza’s internal subject-matter expert on Fireblocks and institutional wallet infrastructure
• Support Product and Technology teams with integrations, upgrades, and the introduction of new networks or virtual assets
• Troubleshoot wallet and infrastructure incidents, working directly with Fireblocks and internal Technology teams when required

Regulatory controls & operational risk

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve SOPs for wallet, settlement, and reconciliation operations
• Monitor incidents, investigate variances, identify root causes, and drive corrective actions
• Escalate material incidents promptly to Compliance, Risk Management, and senior management
• Work with Compliance and Risk to maintain appropriate AML/CFT controls across relevant operational workflows
• Support internal and external audits, proof-of-reserves reviews, and regulatory submissions
• Coordinate with external proof-of-reserves auditors and help ensure the timely submission of required reports
• Prepare weekly and monthly wallet-address reports for Compliance and supervisory reporting
• Maintain complete, accurate, and audit-ready operational records

Technology & product readiness

• Work with Product and Technology to improve automation, scalability, and straight-through processing
• Support wallet testing, settlement testing, latency monitoring, and incident-response protocols
• Maintain operational readiness for new products, virtual assets, networks, and regulatory requirements
• Conduct initial operational assessments for the listing or delisting of virtual assets
• Identify operational dependencies and control requirements before new products or capabilities go live

Collaboration & reporting

• Coordinate with Trading, Finance, and Compliance to maintain an orderly flow across fiat transactions, virtual asset movements, trades, and withdrawals
• Own operational dashboards, reconciliation records, incident logs, and KPIs
• Provide clear management updates and contribute to governance and regulatory reporting
• Translate operational risks and technical issues into clear decisions for senior management

What we are looking for

Essential experience

• Hands-on experience administering Fireblocks
• 5 to 7 years of experience across virtual asset operations, settlements, client asset operations, or financial-market operations
• Strong knowledge of hot, warm, and cold-wallet infrastructure, MPC key management, and transaction-policy design
• Practical experience with reconciliations, settlement controls, asset segregation, and operational risk
• An understanding of blockchain architecture and its interaction with institutional wallets and settlement systems
• The ability to manage incidents, work under pressure, and respond confidently to regulatory and audit scrutiny
• Exceptional attention to detail, sound judgement, integrity, and operational discipline
• Experience within a regulated financial institution, virtual asset business, or VARA-licensed entity
• Familiarity with proof-of-reserves processes and regulatory reporting

Preferred experience

• Experience supporting virtual asset issuance, permissioned-token infrastructure, smart-contract operations, or regulated capital markets products
• Exposure to issuer, trustee, registrar, escrow, paying agent, or corporate-action workflows
• Experience building or materially improving an operations function, rather than only maintaining an established one
