Hardware Engineer / PCB Design – Altium Designer / Altium 365 – Zurich Region with some remote ⚙️📍
Are you a hardware engineer with a passion for PCB design, who enjoys seeing boards move from concept all the way to production and test/calibration equipment? 💡
We are partnering since 2018 with a leading Swiss technology company to hire an experienced Hardware Engineer to strengthen its R&D team, working on test and calibration systems that support the production of next‑generation sensor solutions. 📐
What you will do 🚀
- Design PCBs for test and calibration equipment used in production, with a strong focus on reliability, measurement quality and safety. 🛠️
- Take responsibility for the full hardware lifecycle, from concept through to production readiness and industrialisation. 🏭
- Continuously improve the performance, quality and robustness of existing hardware designs. 📈
- Work closely with sensor, industrialisation and production teams to ensure smooth integration of hardware solutions into manufacturing lines. 🤝
Your profile 🎯
- Degree, apprenticeship or HF/TS qualification in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Technician, or equivalent education. 🎓
- Hands‑on experience in PCB design and hardware engineering, ideally for test, measurement or calibration systems. 🧰🔌
- Expert skills in Altium Designer and Altium 365, with solid experience of design and collaboration workflows. 📡
- You enjoy working close to production, have a pragmatic, results‑oriented mindset and like to see hardware working in real environments. ✅
- German at least B1/B2 to work on site with the team; professional English is a strong plus. 🇩🇪🇬🇧
