Join ALTEN Switzerland as a Project Manager Structural Engineer.

Tasks:

• Manage technical projects in the field of steel structures, supporting all project phases from sales through design and production to final on-site assembly
• Take full technical and commercial responsibility for project execution, ensuring compliance with relevant standards, timelines, budget, and material requirements
• Work closely with sales, project management, engineering teams, and customers to define and align project specifications and requirements
• Serve as the interface between GIS project engineering and steel support engineering to ensure seamless coordination
• Lead and coordinate international engineering teams as well as external partners to ensure efficient and timely project delivery
• Initiate and oversee supply chain activities related to the fabrication and delivery of steel structures and platforms
• Ensure high quality standards by reviewing deliverables and verifying compliance with project and customer expectations
• Drive the resolution of quality issues related to steel structures, both on-site and within manufacturing facilities
• Capture and share lessons learned from ongoing and completed projects, and actively contribute to continuous process improvement
• Support factories in resolving quality cases and assist site teams in handling non-conformance reports (NCRs) effectively
• Analyze root causes of technical and quality issues and contribute to the development of sustainable corrective actions

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering
• Solid experience in steel construction; familiarity with GIS is a strong advantage
• Proven experience in technical project management within civil engineering
• Knowledge of structural analysis software (e.g., SCIA Engineer, STAAD Pro) is a plus
• Proficiency in CAD tools (2D and 3D, e.g., AutoCAD)
• Experience with BIM software (e.g., Tekla Structures) is advantageous
• Understanding of relevant standards and codes (e.g., EC, AISC, building codes, EN 1090) is desirable
• Experience working with SAP is an advantage
• Very good command of English; German skills are a plus
• Strong communication and organizational skills, with experience working in intercultural environments
