Join the Iron Bird Test Facility team as an Avionics & Test Systems Engineer , to play a key role in avionics rig integration, testing and data acquisition for cutting-edge aerospace systems.

This role combines hardware-in-the-loop (HIL), software-in-the-loop (SIL) and instrumentation expertise to ensure rigorous validation of avionics and electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and implement avionics test capabilities for the Iron Bird project, ensuring configuration control and rig testing;
  • Establish and maintain distributed data acquisition systems (DAS) for large-scale rig testing, including sensor integration;
  • Develop and maintain system models for Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) testing, ensuring real-time test module configuration;
  • Support signal switching design and auxiliary power systems for avionics test rigs.

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical/Aerospace Engineering or related field;
  • Proven background in avionics testing, rig integration or flight test instrumentation;
  • Familiarity with data acquisition systems (DAS), HIL/SIL testing and real-time operating systems;
  • Knowledge of avionics data buses (e.g., ARINC, CAN, Ethernet) and measurement theory;
  • Experience with imc Cronos, LabVIEW or similar DAS tools (as a plus);
  • Professional working proficiency in English, German as a plus.

Location: Switzerland (on-site).
