Join the Transaction Platform team at Grab, where we own the end-to-end transaction lifecycle for our merchant partners including order, finance, insights, and feedback. These are among the most-used features in the merchant app, powering how millions of merchants run their business on Grab every day.

Get to Know the Role

You will report to the Head of Engineering, Transaction Platform, and lead a team of 10+ engineers building the reliable, scalable systems that merchants depend on for their daily transactions. You'll balance hands-on technical leadership with people management, mentoring engineers while helping shape the technical direction of the platform. This role is based onsite in Singapore.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

• You will design and implement highly reliable, scalable services for Grab's Transaction Platform systems, evaluating technology stacks to improve performance and scalability.

• You will partner with cross-functional leaders across product, design, analytics, and data science to build the product roadmap, set merchant focused metrics, and design experiments.

• You will set the engineering strategy within your team, mentor junior and senior engineers, and grow into broader technical leadership.

• You will participate in code and design reviews to maintain high development standards.

• You will participate in interview loops to help hire top engineers into the team.

What Essential Skills You Will Need

• You will have 5+ years of software engineering experience in a distributed systems environment, with a track record of designing, developing, and implementing large-scale, highly available online services.

• You will have at least 2+ years of experience as a successful software engineering manager, with a hands-on role in tech solutioning.

• You have experience engaging with AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance productivity, improve workflows, and contribute new ideas.

• You will have strong Computer Science fundamentals in algorithms and data structures, with a strong understanding of system performance and scaling.

• You will hold a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.

• You are proficient in any programming language and willing to work in Golang.
