Job description

A new category has a strange problem.

Before people can prefer you, they first need to know what you mean.

WYLE is building a Clone with Conscience: something that learns how you think, decide, communicate and live, so it can increasingly handle parts of life the way you would.

The ambition is not to help people do more. It is to give them more of their life back. That cannot look, sound or feel interchangeable.

We are hiring a Head of Brand to make WYLE unmistakable. This is not a brand-governance role.

You will own how WYLE becomes an idea people can recognise, remember and feel.

What you own

You will build WYLE's brand and creative system from the ground up.

That includes:

  • brand architecture;
  • visual and verbal direction;
  • campaign territories;
  • creative concepts;
  • Founder versus WYLE brand relationship;
  • art direction;
  • film and photography direction;
  • launch creative;
  • product storytelling;
  • event and partnership creative;
  • the standards that future designers and production teams will work inside.

You should be able to take strategy and turn it into an actual world.

A system that survives contact with content, video, product, events, campaigns and eventually physical experiences.

You need to have a point of view

Taste matters. But taste without reasoning is decoration.

You should be able to explain:

  • why something feels like WYLE;
  • why something does not;
  • why one direction is stronger than another;
  • what should be consistent;
  • where the system should flex;
  • what we should refuse to look or sound like.

You should be able to challenge creative decisions with reasoning, not preference.

You will still make things

This is a senior role. It is also a hands-on one.

You should be comfortable developing important first expressions yourself, shaping campaigns, directing production, reviewing work and solving difficult creative problems directly.

We do not want someone who needs a large agency underneath them before the work becomes real.

Your job is to create the system others can eventually execute.

Who we are looking for

Typically 8–12+ years of experience, although evidence matters much more than tenure.

We want someone who has done several of these:

  • built or materially rebuilt a brand;
  • led a meaningful repositioning or rebrand;
  • launched a new product, category or consumer proposition;
  • created coherent visual and verbal systems;
  • developed multi-channel campaigns;
  • directed film, photography or motion;
  • created premium high-consideration creative;
  • translated strategy into actual assets;
  • worked hands-on in a lean team;
  • used customer or market insight to change creative direction;
  • defended creative decisions with clear reasoning.

Strong backgrounds could come from creative agencies, premium consumer technology, luxury, hospitality, lifestyle, media, entertainment or strong in-house consumer brands.

UAE/GCC experience is useful.

Probably not for you if:

  • you mainly manage agencies;
  • your work ends at strategy decks;
  • your portfolio is mostly logos and mockups;
  • you need a large team before you can create;
  • you cannot direct film or photography;
  • you cannot explain why work is good;
  • you prefer process theatre to shipping.

Compensation

This is an equity-led role with a partial salary during WYLE's current stage.

We are looking for someone who wants meaningful ownership and is comfortable joining before WYLE reaches mature-company compensation levels.

Detailed compensation will be discussed with shortlisted candidates.

To Apply

Send:

  1. your CV to ceo@wyle.ai or DM on LinkedIn;
  2. your strongest portfolio work;
  3. 3–5 projects where you personally shaped the direction;
  4. what you personally owned;
  5. what changed because of the work;
  6. one example of a brand or campaign you would still defend today, and why.

We are not looking for the person with the most awards.

We are looking for someone who can give a new idea an identity people cannot confuse with anything else.
