About the Role

DocFlow is looking for a MERN Stack Developer to join our development team. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining web applications across the frontend, backend, API, and database layers.

The ideal candidate has strong practical experience with React.js, Node.js, Express.js, and MongoDB, with the ability to understand an existing application architecture and implement changes without affecting current functionality.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications using the MERN stack.
• Build responsive, accessible, and user-friendly interfaces using React.js.
• Develop backend services and REST APIs using Node.js and Express.js.
• Design and manage MongoDB collections, queries, indexes, aggregations, and data relationships.
• Integrate frontend applications with backend APIs and third-party services.
• Develop new features based on business and functional requirements.
• Diagnose and resolve issues across the frontend, backend, API, and database layers.
• Understand the existing application architecture before implementing changes.
• Write clean, reusable, testable, and maintainable code.
• Implement API validation, error handling, authentication, and authorization.
• Optimize React applications, Node.js APIs, and database operations where required.
• Use Git for source-code management and collaborate with other developers.
• Coordinate with QA and business teams to identify and resolve issues.
• Participate in code reviews and follow established development best practices.

Required Skills

• 2–3 years of professional MERN Stack development experience.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript and ES6+ features.
• Strong practical experience with React.js.
• Experience with Node.js and Express.js.
• Good understanding of REST API development and integration.
• Practical experience with MongoDB.
• Understanding of MongoDB collections, queries, indexes, aggregations, and data relationships.
• Experience with frontend state management using React Context, Redux, or a similar solution.
• Familiarity with GitHub, GitLab, and standard Git workflows.
• Understanding of HTTP, JSON, API status codes, authentication, and authorization.
• Ability to debug and troubleshoot technical issues independently.

Good to Have

• Experience with TypeScript.
• Experience with Redux Toolkit or another modern state-management library.
• Experience with Material UI, Ant Design, Bootstrap, or similar UI libraries.
• Experience implementing JWT authentication and role-based access control.
• Knowledge of WebSockets or Socket.IO.
• Experience with file uploads, email services, notifications, or third-party API integrations.
• Basic knowledge of Docker and CI/CD pipelines.
• Understanding of application security and common web vulnerabilities.
• Experience optimizing React applications and Node.js APIs.
