🌟 VACANCY | Governess/Educator

A prestigious Emirati family is seeking a highly educated, warm and professional Governess to support the education, development and overall well-being of two children (8 & 5)

This is an education and child-development focused role , rather than a traditional nanny position. The successful candidate will play an important role in supporting the children's academic progress, confidence, independence, emotional development, behavior and social skills.

📍 Location: Dubai

📅 Working Schedule: 6 days per week

Working Hours: 10 hours per day

Key Responsibilities

• Support the children's academic, emotional, behavioral and social development.

• Assist with homework, reading, school assignments and educational activities.

• Plan engaging, appropriate learning and enrichment activities.

• Build strong foundations in reading, communication, numeracy, critical thinking and general knowledge.

• Encourage curiosity, creativity, confidence and a positive attitude towards learning.

• Help develop independence, responsibility and emotional intelligence.

• Establish appropriate routines, boundaries and positive behavioral expectations.

• Guide the children in manners, etiquette, communication and social behavior.

• Monitor educational and developmental progress and identify areas where additional support may be beneficial.

• Liaise with parents, teachers, tutors and educational professionals when required.

• Coordinate extracurricular activities, educational programs and enrichment opportunities.

• Organize educational outings, cultural activities, reading sessions, games and stimulating activities.

• Encourage healthy habits and appropriate use of technology and screen time.

• Accompany the children to activities and appointments when required.

• Travel domestically and internationally with the family and maintain routines and educational activities during travel.

• Work professionally with nannies, drivers and other household staff.

• Provide regular updates to the parents regarding the children's progress and activities.

• Maintain the highest level of confidentiality, discretion and professionalism.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Education, Psychology, Early Childhood Education, Child Development or a related discipline.

• Strong understanding of child development and psychology.

• Previous experience as a Governess, Teacher, Early Years Educator, Child Development Specialist or in a similar role.

• Experience with private, VIP, UHNW or high-profile families would be highly advantageous.

• Excellent spoken and written English.

• Arabic or additional languages would be an advantage.

• Strong academic and educational orientation.

• Warm, nurturing and engaging, while able to maintain appropriate structure and boundaries.

• Mature, emotionally intelligent and confident when communicating with children and parents.

• Polished, professional and well-presented.

• Highly organized and capable of managing children's schedules and activities.

• Culturally sensitive and comfortable working within an Emirati family environment.

• Flexible and willing to travel internationally with the family.

• Highly trustworthy, discreet and respectful of the family's privacy.
