ABOUT THE JOB:
Main Focus Area:
- Deliver sales, volume, revenue and profitability targets for the assigned EMEA territory and customer portfolio.
- Identify, qualify and convert new customers, markets and applications, building and managing a strong pipeline from prospecting through negotiation and conversion.
- Develop and strengthen customer relationships, identifying opportunities for account growth and increased market share.
- Generate new business through customer visits, industry networks, conferences, trade shows, referrals and proactive outbound prospecting.
- Engage with key customer stakeholders to understand needs and develop tailored commercial solutions, coordinating internally with Product Line Management, Application & Market Development, Quality, Customer Service and Operations.
- Conduct market and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities, monitor trends and competitor activities, and develop relevant business cases, quotations and proposals.
- Maintain accurate opportunity pipelines, forecasts and customer information, and represent Almatis at customer meetings and industry events across EMEA.
ABOUT YOU:
Education & Work Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, science or a related field.
- 3–5 years of relevant professional experience in business development or sales, preferably within an international organization.
Knowledge & Skills:
- Excellent relationship-building, networking and negotiation skills.
- Strong strategic and analytical capabilities.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Proactive, entrepreneurial and customer-focused mindset.
- Ability to work effectively in an international and intercultural environment.
- Fluent in English; proficiency in German is considered a plus.
- Willingness to travel extensively and occasionally visit other Almatis locations worldwide.
