Legal Advisor

JOB PURPOSE

BG Group is looking for an experienced Legal Advisor to provide professional legal advice and support across the organization. The role will be responsible for advising management and internal departments on legal matters, drafting and reviewing contracts and agreements, laboures law, ensuring compliance with UAE laws and regulations, identifying potential legal risks, and supporting the company in disputes, litigation, arbitration, civil courts, laboures courts, DIFC Courts, Police, ETC, and government-related matters. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of UAE laws, and practical experience in the Law firm, construction, industry.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide expert legal advice and guidance to senior executives and departments on complex legal matters, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Collaborate with company departments to develop and implement legal strategies, policies, and procedures that align with the organization’s goals and protect its interests.
• Conduct legal research and analysis, stay up to date with changes in laws and regulations, and proactively advise the organization on potential legal risks and implications.
• Stay updated on emerging legal trends, regulations, and best practices in the industry, and provide recommendations for proactive measures to mitigate legal risks.
• Stay updated on changes in UAE laws and regulations that may impact on the company's operations.
• Drafting and solidifying agreements, contracts, and other legal documents.
• Provide advice and recommendations to internal stakeholders on legal matters affecting business operations and strategic initiatives.
• Specifying internal governance policies and regularly monitoring compliance.
• Ensure legal protection of company assets.
• Represent the company at meetings with government agencies, municipalities, and business partners and assigned retainer lawyers.
• Support the company's business and legal departments during litigation and arbitration proceedings.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor/master’s degree in law from a recognized institution.
• Minimum 8+ years Post-Qualified Experience in law firm in Dubai.
• Experience with governmental & commercial contracts is a must.
• Experience in drafting and reviewing a variety of legal and commercial contracts.
• In-depth knowledge of UAE laws and regulations.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Arabic.
