Manager, Global Strategy & Editorial

Action Global Communications, an independent communications agency spanning three continents, is seeking a results-driven, committed and enthusiastic Global Strategy & Editorial Manager based in Dubai, to be fully seconded to one of its retained government clients.

Role Purpose

Support the Director of Global Strategy by coordinating the planning, editorial quality and operational delivery of communications activity across international markets. The role will ensure consistent tone of voice and corporate messaging, maintain high editorial standards, streamline workflows and act as the central point of coordination between in-market teams, corporate communications, editorial functions, agency partners and publications.

Working across multiple stakeholders, the Manager will help drive efficient collaboration, ensure messaging consistency and support the successful delivery of global communications programs.

Core Responsibilities

Editorial Quality & Messaging Consistency

  • Combine business objectives, editorial priorities and insights into key themes to deliver content.
  • Support the development and refinement of communications materials to ensure high editorial standards across international markets.
  • Work alongside the editorial team and International Hub function to review, edit and quality assure content before distribution.
  • Ensure messaging is consistent, accurate and aligned with organisational priorities and destination guidelines.
  • Maintain editorial standards, templates and best practice guidance across markets.

Operational Delivery & Governance

  • Develop and implement processes, frameworks and governance that enable efficient delivery of communications activity.
  • Coordinate multiple concurrent workstreams across global markets, ensuring priorities, timelines and dependencies are effectively managed.
  • Support regional communications leads by working with the international hub function to track deliverables and identify risks to delivery on time.
  • Drive continuous improvement of internal workflows to increase efficiency and collaboration.

Stakeholder Coordination & Global Alignment

  • Act as the primary operational link between Corporate Communications, the editorial team, Heads of Region, international market teams and agency partners.
  • Facilitate the flow of information, ensuring key messaging, priorities and updates are communicated effectively across the network.
  • Support the implementation of global communications strategies while enabling flexibility for local market activation.
  • Build strong working relationships that promote collaboration and knowledge sharing across the function.

Reporting, Documentation & Continuous Improvement

  • Support the production of internal reporting, ensuring submissions from markets are accurate, complete and consistent.
  • Review regional reports and communications outputs to maintain quality and alignment with agreed frameworks.
  • Track delivery against communications plans and provide regular progress updates to senior leadership.
  • Work with the existing team to maintain central documentation, reporting templates and operational guidance.
  • Identify opportunities to improve editorial quality, operational processes and collaboration across the communications function.
  • Support the development of new tools, templates and ways of working that increase consistency and efficiency.
  • Share best practice and lessons learned across regions to strengthen communications capability globally.

Key Skills & Experience

  • Strong editorial, writing and content editing skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Experience coordinating multiple complex workstreams within an international communications environment.
  • Must have 4-6 years of previous experience in a similar role.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement operational processes and governance frameworks.
  • Excellent stakeholder management with the ability to work across multiple teams and seniority levels.
  • Experience supporting regional or global communications programs.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of corporate communications, editorial workflows and content governance.
  • Highly collaborative with excellent communication and relationship management skills.
