JOB DESCRIPTION – STORE KEEPER

Job Summary

The Store Keeper is responsible for receiving, storing, issuing, and controlling construction materials, tools, equipment, and consumables at the project site. The Store Keeper will ensure accurate inventory records, proper material storage, timely availability of materials, and safe and efficient store operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive construction materials, tools, equipment, and consumables from suppliers.
• Verify delivered materials against purchase orders, delivery notes, and invoices.
• Check quantities, specifications, and condition of materials upon delivery.
• Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing materials.
• Issue materials to site engineers, supervisors, workers, and subcontractors against approved material requests.
• Monitor stock levels and inform management when materials need to be reordered.
• Conduct regular physical stock counts and reconcile them with inventory records.
• Maintain proper organization, labeling, and identification of all materials.
• Ensure materials are stored safely and protected from damage, theft, weather, and deterioration.
• Maintain records of tools and equipment issued to employees and subcontractors.
• Report damaged, missing, excess, or obsolete materials to management.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly stock and inventory reports.
• Coordinate with procurement, site engineers, supervisors, and suppliers regarding material requirements and deliveries.
• Maintain proper documentation for material returns, transfers, and site movements.
• Assist with stock audits and inventory inspections.
• Maintain cleanliness, housekeeping, and safety standards within the store area.
• Transport or collect materials, documents, tools, or other items between suppliers, warehouses, offices, and project sites when required.
• Operate company vehicles responsibly for store-related duties when authorized.

Qualifications & Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; a diploma/certificate in Store Management, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field is an advantage.
• 2–5 years of experience as a Store Keeper, preferably within a construction company or project environment.
• Good knowledge of construction materials, tools, equipment, and consumables.
• Basic knowledge of inventory and warehouse management.
• Good computer skills, particularly MS Excel and inventory/store management software.
• Good communication, coordination, and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
• Valid UAE driving license is mandatory.
• Ability and willingness to drive company vehicles for store-related duties when required.
• Knowledge of UAE roads and locations is an advantage.

Pay: AED2,500.00 - AED3,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
