You will become part of a regional sales team of eight experienced Senior Account Managers driving growth in probiotics and enzymes for animal nutrition. Working closely with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders, you will play a key role in expanding our commercial impact and strengthening Novonesis' position as a trusted partner in the ruminant segment.  

 

The Role & Your Impact 

As Commercial Development Manager – Ruminant, you will be responsible for driving commercial growth and revenue delivery across your assigned territory (Central and Eastern Europe). This is a commercially focused role combining strategic market development, opportunity creation, customer engagement, and hands-on sales execution. 

 

Key responsibilities include: 

 

Own sales performance, revenue delivery, and margin management.  

Lead commercial customer engagement, negotiations, and opportunity conversion to sustainable business. 

Identify, prioritize, and develop new business opportunities aligned with regional ruminant growth priorities. 

Manage the commercial opportunity pipeline from identification through implementation, ensuring disciplined funnel management. 

Build and strengthen long-term relationships with key decisionmakers among customers and partners. 

Coordinate effectively across sales, marketing, and technical functions to maximize customer value and business impact. 

Contribute to demand planning, business planning, resource prioritization, and growth initiatives across the region. 

 

What You’ll Need to Be Successful 

Bachelor's or master's degree in animal science or a related discipline with a strong focus on ruminants. 

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in animal nutrition, ruminant production, commercial development, sales, or a closely related field. 

Proven ability to negotiate, influence stakeholders, and drive business growth. 

Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering value and building trusted partnerships. 

Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to work across regional and global teams. 

Adaptability and resilience when working in a dynamic and evolving business environment. 

Ability to translate ambiguity into action and drive customer-centric decisions.  

Professional proficiency in English. 

 

Additional Skills & Interests We Value 

While not required, the following would be advantageous: 

 

Additional language capabilities, particularly German and/or Polish. 

Experience working across Central and Eastern Europe  

Knowledge of probiotics and enzymes in animal nutrition  

Entrepreneurial mindset

Significant travel required within Europe specifically Nordic, Central and Eastern Europe (approximately 50-60%)  

The role covers a broad territory across Central and Eastern Europe, with Germany, Scandinavia, or Poland preferred as the home location.
