About the job

Based at the Mandarin Oriental Savoy, Zurich within the Sales & Marketing Department in Zurich, the Sales & Marketing Trainee provides administrative support to the Sales & Marketing Team, ensuring smooth operations and efficient coordination.

As Sales & Marketing Trainee, you will be responsible for the following tasks:

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Sales & Marketing Department, ensuring smooth daily operations.
  • Assist the Director of Marketing & Commercial Strategy and Director of Sales with various administrative and coordination tasks.
  • Prepare VIP alerts, manage travel arrangements, and ensure seamless communication across departments.
  • Support the Sales Executive during Sales Blitz activities within the local market.
  • Coordinate and prepare client gifts and special amenities for key partners.
  • Compile and present weekly sales reports and performance summaries to the team.
  • Assist the Sales Team during site inspections and show-arounds, ensuring a professional guest experience.
  • Organize and coordinate FAM trips for travel agents and partners, including itinerary planning and logistics.
  • Maintain and update internal files, databases, and the CRM system, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
  • Support with VIP and influencer PR arrivals, coordinating amenities and internal communication.
  • Assist the Marketing Manager with financial administration, including purchase orders and invoice tracking.
  • Provide on-site support during hotel photo and video shoots, ensuring brand standards are maintained.
  • Manage and respond to administrative email requests and other daily correspondence.
  • Support in planning, organizing, and tracking influencer and PR events, ensuring successful execution and follow-up.

As Sales & Marketing Trainee, we expect from you:

  • Enrolled as a student in a Swiss hotel management school.
  • First experience in the hospitality or event industry is an advantage but not mandatory.
  • Strong organizational skills and good time management.
  • Confident use of MS Office and ideally some experience with hotel software.
  • Communicative, open-minded, and a team player.
  • Fluent German and English skills, both spoken and written.
  • Independent, structured working style with great attention to detail.
