Research & Development Technician

As an R&D Technician, you will support our R&D team in exciting development projects and work closely with project managers, product engineers, and process engineers. In this role, you will play an important part in measurements, testing, quality control, and the analysis of our products and processes.

Tasks

• R&D assistance in the process flow from prototype manufacturing to start of series production
• Operating and maintaining measurement and inspection equipment as well as conducting incoming and outgoing inspection
• Planning and executing reliability test campaigns
• Data preparation, test documentation and report generation in cooperation with stakeholders
• Contribute to failure analysis and root cause investigations
• Close cooperation with project managers, product development engineers, and process development engineers

Requirements

• Technician training (or higher education) in the field of optics, electronics, optoelectronics or mechatronics
• Experience with manufacturing processes such as soldering, gluing, mechanical fabrication is a plus
• Good technical understanding and spatial awareness
• Independent, structured way of working in a dynamic environment
• Accurate work (measuring, evaluating, reporting) in project structures
• Good command of English and German
