Job description

Job Description Strategy

  • Contribute to strategic objectives of asset integrity and safety compliance by executing systematic inspections that support performance monitoring and preventive maintenance plans.

Operations

  • Carry out scheduled and ad hoc inspections of road corridors to verify compliance with approved specifications, safety regulations, and engineering drawings.
  • Perform technical audits of traffic diversions, signage, road furniture, utilities, and reinstatement work in line with RTA specifications, NOCs, and ROW permit conditions.
  • Identify, document, and report defects in road infrastructure and external service assets (e.g., DEWA, Etisalat, DM, developer areas) using electronic platforms.
  • Coordinate with contractors and consultants to validate corrective actions addressing engineering non-compliances.
  • Investigate and close damage reports related to ROW assets, ensuring rectification and accurate system updates.
  • Verify on-site execution quality during active works to ensure alignment with approved requirements.
  • Respond to public complaints or internal alerts through site inspections and submit technical reports with corrective recommendations.

Product/Process Improvement

  • Record site visits and audit outcomes in inspection platforms to maintain accurate and accessible documentation.
  • Provide field-based insights from audits and inspection data to enhance technical standards and improve project execution guidelines.
  • Recommend technical modifications and safety enhancements to improve operational efficiency and user safety.

Physical Working Conditions

  • Field-intensive role requiring frequent travel to road corridors, tunnels, bridges, construction sites, and service locations.
  • Involves exposure to variable outdoor conditions, including during emergency callouts or urgent audit schedules.

Qualifications Job Qualifications & Requirements Education: Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Technology

Experience: 4+ years in case of Diploma (7+ years in case of High School) in related field
