Internal Communications Specialist

A strategic communications professional responsible for driving employee engagement through compelling content, effective storytelling and the continuous development of Dutco's internal communication platforms. This role owns the intranet experience, ensuring it remains a dynamic, engaging and high-impact channel that connects employees to the business, while also supporting corporate communications and external content requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Own, manage and continuously enhance Dutco's intranet and internal communication channels, ensuring they remain relevant, engaging and user focused.
• Develop and execute internal communication strategies that maximize reach, engagement and employee participation across a diverse workforce.
• Identify the most effective channels, formats and digital tools to communicate messages and increase content visibility.
• Drive adoption and engagement of the intranet through innovative campaigns, interactive content and creative communication approaches.
• Monitor platform analytics, user behavior and engagement metrics, using insights to optimize content performance and user experience.
• Create, write, edit and publish high-quality content including news stories, leadership messages, project highlights, employee features, campaigns and business updates.
• Ensure employees are consistently informed, connected and aligned with company priorities, culture, initiatives and achievements.
• Partner with senior leadership and subject matter experts to develop clear, authentic and impactful messaging.
• Conduct interviews, gather content from across the business and proactively identify stories worth telling.
• Translate and review communications in both English and Arabic, ensuring cultural relevance, accuracy and consistency.
• Support external communications through the development of press releases, corporate announcements, success stories and thought leadership content.
• Act as a trusted communications advisor and central storyteller, strengthening engagement, culture and employee pride across the organization.

Profile

• Fluent in both English and Modern Standard Arabic, with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Outstanding writer, editor and storyteller with strong journalistic instincts.
• Experienced in managing intranets, digital workplace platforms and internal communication channels.
• Strong understanding of employee engagement, content strategy and audience behavior.
• Able to identify the best communication channels and formats to maximize message impact and reach.
• Digitally savvy with a data-driven approach to content planning, measurement and optimization.
• Confident engaging with executive leadership and translating complex topics into clear, compelling content.
• Highly organized, proactive and relationship-focused, with the ability to build networks across all levels of the business.
• Experience within construction, corporate, infrastructure or large workforce environments is advantageous.
