Job description

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Provide timely legal support to management and departments on corporate, commercial, contractual, regulatory, compliance, real estate, and employment matters.
  • Draft, review, amend, negotiate, and maintain contracts, including vendor, service, consultancy, lease, NDA, franchise, employment, shareholder, trust, and intercompany agreements.
  • Monitor contracts, renewals, obligations, notices, and deadlines and maintain proper contract records.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with applicable UAE laws, regulations, labour requirements, data protection, consumer protection, free zone rules, and industry-specific requirements.
  • Assist with legal disputes, claims, notices, settlements, mediation, and litigation and coordinate with external lawyers and relevant authorities.
  • Prepare legal notices, responses, case summaries, internal memoranda, and supporting documents and maintain updated records of all legal matters.
  • Coordinate with MOHRE, Dubai Courts, police, economic departments, notaries, regulators, and other government and judicial authorities as required.
  • Maintain corporate governance records, including resolutions, minutes, registers, licences, regulatory filings, ownership records, and authorized signatory details.
  • Assist with company restructuring, ownership changes, new entities, joint ventures, mergers, acquisitions, due diligence, and related corporate documentation.
  • Assist in protecting the Company's intellectual property, including trademarks, copyrights, domain names, trade secrets, and brand assets, and coordinate action against infringement.
  • Conduct legal research on UAE laws, regulations, court decisions, and regulatory developments and prepare legal opinions, memoranda, briefing notes, and compliance updates.
  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and implementing internal policies relating to employee conduct, onboarding, visas, confidentiality, compliance, and data privacy.
  • Provide legal support for employment matters, including employment contracts, disciplinary actions, grievances, suspensions, terminations, visa cancellations, settlements, and labour disputes.
  • Assist with MOHRE and Labour Court matters and coordinate with HR and external legal counsel on employment-related legal requirements.
  • Assist with UAE data protection and, where applicable, GDPR compliance, including privacy policies, consent forms, data protection undertakings, data requests, and data breach procedures.
  • Liaise with external legal advisors, law firms, government authorities, and other stakeholders on legal, regulatory, corporate, and compliance matters.
  • Prepare legal reports, case updates, compliance alerts, risk summaries, and status reports for the Legal Counsel and Management.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and secure records of all legal, contractual, corporate, employee, customer, and commercially sensitive information.
  • Coordinate with HR, Finance, Operations, Procurement, and other departments to obtain information and documentation required for legal and compliance matters.
  • Provide assistance with HR and PRO-related activities, including employee documentation, government submissions, visa and labour-related requirements, and other related administrative matters.
  • Promptly escalate significant legal risks, disputes, compliance issues, and critical deadlines to the Legal Counsel and Management.
  • Perform any other legal, HR, PRO, compliance, research, documentation, coordination, administrative, or other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Management from time to time.

Desired Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's degree in Law (LL.B.) or an equivalent legal qualification.
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in a legal department, law firm, corporate environment, or similar role, preferably in the UAE.
  • Good knowledge of UAE laws and regulations, particularly commercial, employment, corporate, contractual, and regulatory matters.
  • Practical understanding of UAE labour and employment procedures, MOHRE requirements, visa processes, and PRO-related matters.
  • Experience in contract drafting, reviewing, legal documentation, legal research, and compliance.
  • Strong written and verbal English communication skills
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, document management, and legal record-keeping.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, drafting, and documentation skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive legal, employee, and business information.
  • Ability to coordinate effectively with management, HR, PRO, government authorities, external lawyers, and other departments.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • UAE experience and knowledge of local government procedures will be preferred.
  • 100% willingness to travel for work

Pay: From AED3,000.00 per month
