Maintenance Engineer

Principal Responsibilities

• Execute preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance assigned through the maintenance management system.
• Maintain pumps, blowers, filters and associated mechanical/electromechanical plant equipment within competence.
• Perform inspections, lubrication, adjustments, component replacement and first-line fault finding.
• Support breakdown response, isolation/LOTO, return-to-service testing and maintenance documentation.
• Maintain tools, maintenance records and spare-parts usage records; coordinate specialist repairs when required.
• Support preservation and maintenance of inactive FCR trains and scale with additional train activation.

Preferred Profile / Recruitment Differentiators

• Preferred: wastewater plant maintenance on rotating/process equipment.
• Preferred: mechanical/electromechanical versatility and experience with pumps, blowers and filtration equipment.
• Trade/professional certifications necessary for assigned duties must be current.

Mobilization / Competency Requirements

• Complete project induction and applicable safety/emergency training before independent duty.
• Participate in system-specific training applicable to the role during handover, including FCR, SCADA and major plant equipment where relevant.
• Maintain role-required certifications and training records; participate in annual refresher and cross-training program.
• Be included in the project competency matrix, with training, certification, refresher status and cross-training capability maintained throughout deployment.
