Plant Operations Manager

Principal Responsibilities

• Lead safe, compliant and continuous operation and maintenance of WWTP-3 and coordinate the core team across all process areas.
• Ensure operational performance and KPI compliance, including escalation and corrective actions.
• Coordinate with the Employer, NWC and relevant project interfaces; lead operational reporting and management reviews.
• Direct staffing, shift coverage, contingency arrangements and readiness for additional train activation.
• Coordinate handover, D&B/DNP interfaces, OEM/Technology Provider engagement and operational readiness activities.
• Ensure personnel competency, training completion, performance evaluation and cross-training are maintained.

Preferred Profile / Recruitment Differentiators

• Preferred: management of comparable wastewater treatment facilities and multidisciplinary O&M teams.
• Preferred: strong 24/7 plant accountability, KPI/performance management and client/regulatory coordination.
• Preferred: KSA WWTP experience where available. This should enhance candidate ranking but should not be used as a hard rejection criterion.

Mobilization / Competency Requirements

• Complete project induction and applicable safety/emergency training before independent duty.
• Participate in system-specific training applicable to the role during handover, including FCR, SCADA and major plant equipment where relevant.
• Maintain role-required certifications and training records; participate in annual refresher and cross-training program.
• Be included in the project competency matrix, with training, certification, refresher status and cross-training capability maintained throughout deployment.
